Amulets SHOWCASE

This is my own testimony with regards to a holy protective votive tablet. I am revealing the truth now after more than 10 years keeping silent about a tragic car accident that happened to me together with 4 other close friends. This incident is still fresh in my mind until today where I think it's time to reveal for sharing.

On that fateful day, all 5 of us travelled to a friend's wedding dinner that was held at Bentong town in the same car. There was a very tight and narrow bend as we're approaching the town. That bend was famous for it is an accident prone spot. We managed to reach the venue safely to cherish my long time college buddy's wedding. However, on the way back to Kuala Lumpur city after the dinner, travelling at about 11.30pm the car was driven by another close friend. Upon approaching that narrow road bend all of a sudden just a word of shock was heard from him. A split second later the car lose control and fell into a deep ravine. All 5 of us were trapped inside the car and there was panicking and the only thing in my mind was to wish everyone is safe. A very frightening experience in such kind of situation.

LP Siman Thep Intoh, 3 Feb 1966 (B.E.2509), Silver Rian

Slowly I managed to open one of the car door and started climbing out. The car fell into a meter deep ravine and landed on one of its side. Nobody can hear our cries for help and neither passing vehicles witness this accident. In addition to that ordeal, I couldn't see very well because I lose my glasses inside the car when the car rolled over into the ravine. Luckily all of us could get out from the car safely. It took all of us a great deal to climb up from that ravine. Furthermore, it was pitch dark and wet due to slight rain shower earlier.

Passing cars were shocked to see us climbed up to the road side and waving for help. A kind hearted gentleman whom happened to passed by that spot stopped his car to offer us a ride to Bentong hospital. I was very surprised that all of us survived that karma with minor scratch and bruises. The only person who had more injuries was the front passenger whom did not wear a seat belt. It is here I would advice everybody to wear seat belt.

Finally, all of us have to stay overnight in a hotel in Bentong after receiving treatment at the hospital. When things were settled a bit at the hotel, I took a good look at my amulet and discovered that the plastic casing had cracked. But the amulet condition was still in perfect order. I believe that this amulet had protected me to escape from serious harm and injury with just only a minor bruise at my lower left leg due to the crash impact. I also concluded that this amulet also helped reduced the karma of others to escape death with only minor injury. The next day we all went to the car workshop in Bentong town to see how badly the damage was. All of us were horrified to see the car was in a total wrecked. Total Loss is the word for the car. None of us wish to remember how bad the condition of the car was. We're just surprised how we all got out alive.

Phra Athikarn Kaao Tissavaro - Wat Huay Lard, Songkla Province
Since then, I have kept this life saving Rian of Luang Pu Siman Thep Intoh B.E. 2509 and had replaced the cracked plastic casing with a silver casing in Thailand. I went back to Wat Mekprasit in Ipoh to visit LP Chali the Chief Abbot whom gave me this silver Rian during the mid-90s before he stopped giving away amulets to people.

I hope my mind will be at peace now after revealing this story. May this sharing of the Truth be well received by readers and may you be also well protected by Lord Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha. Keeping this in mind, let's always have high respect for all holy votive tablets and uphold the Triple Gems. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!

Than Long was a student desciple of Than Lek from Wat Ariyakiri.  Than Long was famous for his healing ability using traditional medicines just like Than Lek.  A very rare masterpiece in plastic casing with a small pinhole at the front side to a stunning oily surface as a result.  There're no official record or document on the quantity of this handmade batch being produced.

Phra Tha Kradan, Wat Si Sawat, Kanchanaburi Province, circa A.D.1340's

From the offset this Phra Tha Kradan may looked similar to Phra Ngan due to its protruded curvy head.  In actual fact, this is a crafted image of Lord Buddha made using Jin metal compound from the ancient past.  However, there is much to be told about the history of this Phra Tha Kradan.  Jin is a metallic compound for crafting objects to make it more durable while retaining its original shape.   Jin based amulets is distinctively unique with its natural antiqueness appearance rendered in a waxy rust in deep rust color of green or red which incorporates the aesthetic value, in addition to its magical impression of fine craftmanship.

Jin amulets in Thailand came from several areas which are considered the treasure troves of ancient amulets. In this case this handcrafted Phra Tha Kradan originated from Kanchanaburi that is over 600 years old.  The enigmatic studies into the creation of Jin amulets today had puzzled scholars and enthusiasts as to how Jin compound could be used to produce such magical power and beauty.  Its intrinsic value is easily identified with a mixture of silvery, rusty red and rusty green patinas that no other metallic amulets could match.

There is no doubt Jin based amulets are also dubbed "The Emperor of Collectors' Amulets" by Thai enthusiasts.  Jin amulets are evidently becoming highly acclaimed as no highly accredited collectors will ignore or simply refuse to acquire or own these remarkable ancient beauty.
